Casma Peruvian Province is one of the twenty provinces in Ancash Department, part of the Ancash Region, Peru. Is the capital of the province of the same name, is located at km 375 of the Panamericana North.
Casma bordered on the north by the Province of Santa, on the east by the provinces of Yungay and Huaraz, south Huarmey Province and west to the Pacific Ocean.
This province extends from the western slopes of the Cordillera Negra, to the coastal zone of the Pacific Sub-Region.
Casma River is the main watercourse that crosses the northern part of the province's main right bank tributaries of the river Sechin and left the Rio Grande.
Casma is characterized by year round warm temperatures, and hence is known as the "City of Eternal Sunshine."
It is found 30.9 m.s.n.m. All year round is sunny and mild weather is dry, its temperature is 32 º C in summer and 26 º C in winter.
